In the city of Bologna, among the red walls and the students of the oldest university in Europe, the witches move.
They can take the guise of an herbalist, an educated woman, close to the court of the Bentivoglio, an easy target to indirectly strike the Lord of the City and his wife, the powerful Ginevra Sforza.
Or of a woman of the people, whose only fault is to have made the young son of the master fall in love with her, for whom he renounces the marriage of interest imposed by his parents.
Finally, of a woman tired of her husband, who tries to get rid of him using magic and a pigeon.
In this journey, through the picturesque streets of the historic center, you will discover hidden arcane symbols under our noses and listen to the stories of these witches (and, for fairness, of some wizard) historically documented through the documents of the Inquisition and the Bargello, to discover together with us that History is more adventurous and fascinating than a novel!
